Russian Post wants to deliver goods bought via ads platform Avito

MOSCOW, Apr 25 (PRIME) -- Russian Post plans to sign an agreement with Avito, an online platform for advertisements, to deliver goods to purchasers, Sergei Malyshev, deputy general director of the national postal operator, told reporters on Tuesday.

“There are consumer-to-consumer (C2C) stories, like Avito. We’re in intensive talks with them about integration,” Malyshev said.

Avito could have on its Web site a ready printable form to deliver goods. “The seller will be able to print it out and bring the goods to a postal branch, if the buyer picks this option,” he said, adding that this function could be added in late 2017–early 2018.

“We are in dialogue (with Avito), and the integration process is gradual. In general, we hold constructive dialogue with all floors in Russia.”
